What is a lead?
The term lead represents a potential customer who has shown interest in our products or services - the initial stage in the sales process before they become a qualified customer and subsequently a client.
How can a lead be created?
For example, by clicking on an advertisement and subsequent contact, by filling out a web form, subscribing to a newsletter, through social networks, by recommendation to another company, or even within one company, when a potential client is recommended by one department to another.
Why track leads?
Lead tracking is especially important if your company has two teams: a marketing team - which deals with generating potential clients, and a sales team - which focuses on working with clients, contacts, and business activities.
Another reason is easier processing of statistics, thanks to which we can determine exactly how many leads came from which source, what the success rate of leads is according to individual sources, and the like, which ultimately helps optimize business processes.
